Bujalski, Francis P.
Francis P Bujalski, 89, of Dessa Drive, Hamden passed
away peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Sunday,
November 29, 2009. He was born on May 28, 1920, the son
of Peter and Estelle (Skibniewski) Bujalski. He is survived
by his wife of 58 years, Jayne (Smolenski) Bujalski, four
children and four grandchildren. He proudly served his
country as a combat navigator during World War II,
separating from the service with the rank of Captain. He
was part of the 8th Air Force 34th Bomber Group, which
took part in the invasion of Europe on D-Day. He was a
graduate of Quinnipiac University. Before having a private
practice as a C.P.A for 43 years, he worked for 15 years for
the IRS as a field agent and acting special agent. He was a
member and past commander of the Frank J. Stempick American Legion Post 162, a
member of Connecticut Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Public Accounting, the
Polish Professional Business Men & Women's Association, and the Professional Internal
Revenue Retiree's Association of Connecticut. He was predeceased by his brothers Stanley
J. Bujalski and Joseph P. Bujalski. He leaves a sister, Ann S. Bujalski of New Haven, a
brother, Paul P. Bujalski of West Haven, four children, Janine Bujalski of Hamden, Marilyn
Ruzal of Hamden, Peter Bujalski (Robin) of North Haven, Philip Bujalski (Mary Anne Hardy)
of North Haven, and four grandchildren.
His funeral will leave the LUPINSKI FUNERAL HOME 821 State Street THURSDAY
morning at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church at 10 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on
WEDNESDAY from 4 until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to
a favorite charity.
