Charczynski, Andrew ( Speed ) ( Sam )
Andrew Charczynski 89 of Laurel Street, East Haven
passed away peacefully at Laurelwoods Health Care Center
on Saturday November 7, 2009. He is the husband of Mary
Passarello Charczynski. Andrew was born in New Haven
December 29, 1919 a son of the late John and Mary
Bulanda Charczynski. He was a World War II Army veteran
retiring as a Corporal. He was a recipient of the Victory
Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign
Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the American Theatre
Campaign Ribbon. Andrew served with the Military Police
while in Marsielle, France. He was an upholsterer by trade
and had worked for Yale Furniture and Richard Upholstery
for several years until his retirement. Besides his wife he
leaves his son John Charczynski of EH. He is the brother of Sophie Charczynski of EH and
the late Walter, John, Joseph, Edward and Michael Charczynski, Helen Hall, Mary
Okoniewski and Jane Pietruszka. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will leave the LUPINSKI FUNERAL HOME 821 State Street WEDNESDAY
morning at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church at 10 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on TUESDAY from
4 until 8 p.m.
