Glowacki, Frances Florence Wozniak
Frances Florence Glowacki 85 of Orange, Connecticut peacefully passed on June 26,
2009 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born in New Haven, Connecticut November 15, 1023, a daughter of the late Anna and Peter Wozniak, she was a resident of New Haven and Hamden before moving to Orange in 1989. She graduated from New Haven Commercial High School in 1941. Frances was a career woman, beginning at the Internal Revenue Service, and continuing until her retirement at the West Haven Veterans Administration Hospital as a budget analyst. Here she met many wonderful friends that shared her passion for travel and music. Monthly lunches with her "girls from the VA"

were a high point before her illness. Frances volunteered at the Beth-El Center and Soup
Kitchen in Milford, and was a faithful parishioner at St. Stanislaus Church and the Church of
the Holy Infant. Music was her passion, growing up in a house filled with instruments and
Frances followed her love after retirement. She became an avid organist, enjoying the many
friends she met through her lessons. She is survived by her sister Julia Waselewski of Old
Saybrook and her brother John Wozniak of North Branford and her nieces Nancy Marston
and Linda Winters of Old Saybrook and her nephews Jonathan Marston of Boston, MA and
Peter Marston of Portland ME. She was predeceased by her loving husband John Glowacki
and her sister Jayne Kowaleski. She will be dearly missed. Her nieces would like to thank
the staff at the Milford Hospital, Yale New Haven Hospital and the Connecticut Hospice in
Branford for their compassion and caring.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the LUPINSKI FUNERAL HOME 821 State Street New Haven CT on TUESDAY morning from 8:30 until 9:30 when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
