Kosciuk, Konstantin
Konstantin Kosciuk 92 of 116 Old Amity Road, Bethany
passed away peacefully at the Hospital of St. Raphael on
Saturday May 16, 2009. He is the husband of Margareta
Birnir Kosciuk. Mr. Kosciuk was born in Russia November
27, 1916 a son of the late Konstantin and Julia Minuk
Kosciuk. He served with the Polish Army during world War
II was captured and was held as Prisoner of War in
Germany. He came to the United States in 1949. Mr.
Kosciuk was employed as a welder for Sargent Co. for 30
years until his retirement in 1981. He was a charter
member of the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church.
Besides his wife he leaves his daughter Monika Pinardi and
her husband Nicholas of East Dennis, MA his Grandchildren Nicholas Pinardi Jr. and
Marisa Retkevicz and Great Grandchildren Victoria, Isabella and Gavin. Mr. Kosciuk
enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.
Family and friends may call at the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church 285 Alden Ave.
New Haven on WEDNESDAY from 4 until 7 p.m. Christian Burial Service will take place at
the Church on THURSDAY morning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial
Park. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Transfiguration
Orthodox Church c/o of Rev. Michael Westerberg, 25 Kohary Drive, New Haven, CT.
